"Blessed to be a Blessing"

We believe that we have all been blessed to be a blessing. The blessing statements from Lynne and Michael reflect their awareness of God's grace in their lives through the church, and their thankfulness for it. More

Food Bank Offering

Each Sunday, the Hosts of the 8:45 a.m. service will take up a second offering for the San Marcos Area Food Bank. Please bring one item each Sunday of non-perishable food that can be distributed by the Food Bank.

The third Sunday of the month is sometimes referred to as “Hunger Sunday.” Persons living on a low, fixed income frequently run out of money and food stamps by this time of the month. If each of us can give one non-perishable item each Sunday, our young Hosts will be able to deliver to the Food Bank sizable amounts of food that help relieve some of the need.

Remember, this week, someone will run out of food stamps and money for food. Help us fill the grocery cart!

Good News From St. Mark’s Preschool

The Stella Fund Scholarship Committee met this summer and awarded our first scholarship to one of our families! We are delighted that we can offer such financial assistance through the generous support of the Stella Fund which the vestry made available to us. The purpose of the Stella Fund is to support outreach in communities, and we feel strongly that our St. Mark’s Preschool is reaching a cross-section of our community in San Marcos through the outreach of education. We are grateful to those who administer the Stella Fund, as well as to our St. Mark’s vestry for supporting the important work of educating young children in a Christian community. Our hope is that next year we will be able to offer even more scholarships!
