The Chancel Choir invites all those who have a love of music to join us in Christian fellowship as we "make a joyful noise unto the Lord."

The Chancel Choir leads worship at the 10:45 a.m. service on Sunday mornings and special services throughout the year. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8 p.m. and on Sunday morning from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. On the first Wednesday of each month, we have "food night" when we share a meal and fellowship together after rehearsal.

St. Mark's also sponsors a scholarship at Texas State University for Choral Scholars. These students participate in the Chancel Choir. If you would like more information about this opportunity or how you can help in funding scholars, please contact Jason Slayden or Jenny Henderson.

About the Handbell Choir

The Handbell Choir of St. Mark's rehearses from 5:30-6:20 p.m. in the sanctuary.  Director Jenny Henderson brings a wealth of experience with church music and handbells in particular.  Reading music is not a requirement for participation. If you have an interest in playing handbells, please join us for this rehearsal.  For more information, contact Jenny at 82thebar@austin.rr.com.

How You Can Help

St. Mark ’s Hand bell Choir is beginning a campaign to raise funds for a third octave of hand bells. While we do have some funds designated for this project in the budget, more are needed to complete the octave. Bells range in cost from $180.00 – 280.00 depending on the size of the bell. All or a portion of one bell would make a wonderful memorial or gift to the church for a birthday, anniversary or a special life event, maybe a gift in honor of a lasting friendship or in honor of a friend moving away can be a lasting tribute. Memorial gifts to honor loved ones are most appropriate and appreciated.
